Theme #20 -- Outdoors
Well, here I am again -- a day late as usual lately. Murrr. I went out and had fun this weekend, and by the time I got home on Sunday, I had quite honestly forgotten about what day it was and what stuff I had to do. No excuses, I was just flakier than usual this weekend.
Since I'll be in Los Angeles for JRock Revolution this weekend, I'm going to miss the Indianapolis 500 for the first time since I moved to Indy over a decade ago, so I got together with some friends yesterday and we went to the track for Bump Day (the final day of qualifications). I called in a favor and we all had pit passes, so we spent the day talking to the race teams and had a great time. Then we had a barbeque, and it was almost the middle of the night before I got home.
So, what does any of that have to do with the new theme, you might ask? Well, I'll tell you. Yesterday was a beautiful day here in Indy, and it made me actually want to be outside, which is relatively rare, as I don't like sun, dirt, or bugs. So the new theme for this week is THE GREAT OUTDOORS! Are you taking a romantic walk on the beach? Are you sitting on a park bench waiting for someone? Are you laying in the grass watching the stars? Did you have a fight in the car in the middle of nowhere, and now you're stuck hiking back to civilization whether you want to or not? Are you vacationing in a mountain cabin so you can admire the great outdoors through the windows without actually being stuck in tent?
It's nice out again today -- let's go outside and play!
