Notes: Aaaangst. But Aki is still something of a slut, or so it's implied. 'Darkness' and 'hangovers' seemed like they should be really easy, but those have been the toughest two so far for me. Weird.

His pride is the reason for this. It's why he's knocking on Shinji's door, seeking something he can't name because he won't admit to weakness. Thankfully, the barrier of dark lenses affords him protection even at night.
"Not off with one of your conquests tonight?"
Aki winces. "Can I come in?"
"Take off your sunglasses first, before you run into something."
Aki reluctantly lowers his shield, his eyes still red and puffy from his earlier tears. Shinji sighs, drawing Aki closer. "Heartbreak's harder when you're an incubus, huh."
Aki laughs brokenly, and wishes he couldn't see Shinji's sympathy so brightly.
[The way I see it, the title could be either its own word, or the prefix for something like exorcism/excommunication (two theorized ways of getting rid of an incubus).]
