A few months ago I was determined to find/make a calendar for the summer. I wanted a 3 week across, 5 week down, blank calendar. The closest I found was a giant classroom-sized one, so I made one myself from construction paper.
Filled out my summer plans. Shifted work days. Concerts. Movies in the park. Road trips. Dates. Tubing. Camping. Weddings. Non-rev trips to visit friends.
Just tore it up. 'Cause it's over. I work until September. And then it's fall.
I wrote down what happened in my journal. Kinda regret tearing up the ambitions written in pencil. But oh well. You can't regret what you did in summer. Except last summer when I had a broken clavicle.
There are different things to look forward to in autumn. Less exciting, more constructive. There's less than 3 months to get ready for winter.
