While I adore Damon and Caroline (my two favorite characters), I'm not a shipper of them together. With that said, I read this because the timeframe piqued my interest--and it's just wonderful. You really capture who each of them were at the time in the story, and it's so believable.

And Damon was just starting to become decent, so I really love the ending. It's wonderful.

I love this! I really actually would love something like this to be revealed in a flashback sometime, because we really didn't see a whole lot of happy!DC which I am certain existed. Any way love your writing and hope you write more DC in the future!

Okay, this, I'm totally in love with. This fits both Caroline and Damon so perfectly at that point in the series. I really believe this could have happened on the show. And her telling Damon that he chose her first and nobody had ever done that before, that is why I have a soft spot for them in my heart. They're both so alike, and I think that's why Damon treated her so badly, but I think that's why he could treat her well during some of their time together. I really wish something like this would have happened on the show. Great job!

Could see that happening at the time, miss daroline they dont get any scenes hardly anymore :( write more fics with them please :D

I like this idea. I think you should do a sequel after Caroline is turned where she remembers this happening. :)
