My Dad called last night to check in... he also said that within a 1/2 hour of him leaving the nursing home, Mom had managed to scoot down to the bottom part of her bed, which doesn't at this time have rails, and slide out of bed, boom!, onto the floor.  She's done it before. 
Nursing home called Dad to let him know, no harm no foul.  I'd bet she's got a bruise on her backside, though.
I try not to laugh, but..... I just can't not.
If you don't laugh, you go crazy.
