well, crap. ( I hate the Chinese saying about life being interesting)
We're down in sunny Florida. We got in Yesterday (Tuesday) and spent Tuesday and Wednesday in Palm Coast seeing my Dad. We got some stuff for the nursing home and such. Went to the elder care lawyer to continue the paperwork chase for Medicaid. We left palm coast about 3pm local.
Well, we don't need that Medicaid stuff anymore. (maybe)
My Dad was found unresponsive at the nursing home where he's been in Palm Coast.. No joy on what the paremedics tried to do.. He passed away on Wednesday December 14th, about midnight local.
well, shit.
Life now gets a LOT more interesting. -remember I'm an only.
I'm a bit numb. He was doing OK today -knew us, and everything. a bit of a surprise, but a lot of times the surviving spouse in a long term marriage (and Dad and Mom was VERY long term (62+ years) doesn't outlast the spouse who passed away first. Dad passed away almost exactly 10 months after Mom did.
More later. I need to 'try' to get some sleep.
