Two steps forward, one back
Well, my Dad took his driving tests Friday... Not all good, not all bad.
He had to take
1. Vision test -PASSED
2. Written Test -PASSED
3 Sign Test -PASSED
4. Road Test -FAILED, but but but, not for safety isues -it was for stuff that we would probably get bit on. He got bit for not having 2 hands on the wheel all the time, not using turn signals all the time, and such like that. The instructor was not happy with his 3 point turns and he was stopping a bit long on stop signs.
All stuff that we ourselves could get bit on if we took a road test -I haven't had a road test since I got my licence at 16. So, he's going back next week to try again. He has good places to practice 3 point and stop signs, and turns. They live on a street that's a circle, with one road in. It's REAL quiet. Kristen drove a lot down there to practice before her test.
So, we'll see. He's happy that he wasn' nailed on safety issues... (Mr. Donat, we don't want you driving ever again stuff) but on simple nonsense anyone could get beat on.
