The Right to Die

The Terry Schiavo thing is a really annoying topic because it's private family issue and not a thing to parade about on the national, let alone international stage. But what can you expect of a Republican party with nothing better to do but rally its fundamentalist Christian base around circus issues like this?

I mean, a person starving to death? In America? HOW CAN WE LET THIS HAPPEN MORALLY?
Jeez, fundies, this happens by thousands every day all over the world, and in America too. You fucking hypocritical retards.

The woman has been in a diagnosed 'persistent vegitative state,' a term that brings to mind a pot of steamed broccoli left out over night, for 15 goddamn years. Her frontal cortex is equivalent to baby puke, and her existence can only be described as a 'piss and shit factory.'

According to her spouse, the only person that can legally testify as to the verbal wishes of another person, the woman did not want to be in this position if it ever occurred. Well, tragically it did. Now follow her wishes. Unplug the machine and let the moaning corpse let her go. Her family has no say in it, only Terry has a say and she said it to her husband. He gets NOTHING if she dies, no life insurance, all of Terry's cash is gone to pay medical bills, so there are no motives behind him testifying as to her wishes. He's stuck by his story since day one, and I for one think legally he should be trusted.

Yet, for some strange political and sentimental and religious reason (all three aren't substantive reasons in any forum) this is a pet issue and the woman must be saved from resting in peace, or else civilization as we know it will cease to exist.

It isn't anyone's life but hers. The decision has been made, but nobody wishes to respect a human's decision while they're too wound up speculating what God might think. Well folks, I talked to God and here's what she said:

Yep, you heard it here first.
