It's Fiji Baby

I am writing this sitting in a sweltering hot room on an ancient machine using a stone-age internet connection in Suva, the capitol of Fiji.

Over the past three days I have met a TON of people and have had some of the most extreme activities to do in a long time.

There are so many goddamn british people here I've forgotten what an American accent sounds like. I have to speak to remind myself.

Just today, I went hiking through a tropical rainforest, river tubing and long boat riding down an adjacent river, and now I'm getting ready to go out for the night in Fiji's largest city.

This is a third world country alright. I've been propositioned for cocaine, weed, etc. in front of police offices and have haggled people to death to buy their goods. For example, most Fijians quote their price at around 1000 percent the actual value they're willing to sell it to you.

Anyhow, it hovers around 90 here with 90% humidity. I'm bug bitten, sun burned, a bit hung over, and having a blast. BUT it is a bit stressful to experience so many new things. I'm looking forward to Australia so I can settle back into the first world to acclimate once again.

I'll be writing again soon, and speaking online again soon (damn Fiji and their MSN messenger).

BULA BULA! VANAKA! FIJI BABY!
