Potent Potables or Randomness Returns

So, creepy story time scared you away, huh?

All kidding aside, just relaxing after a visit from philas this morning. It's nice that he's reverted to normal again. I never did tell him had we seen each other the week after his wedding I'd have knocked him on his ass, but I'm sure it will come up at some point. Instead, we've just sat and chatted recently. The reasons why he's back to his old self are beyond my knowledge, but it's a welcomed revert back.

Work continues to go quite fine. For whatever reason I'm usually dragging my butt around six o'clock and that lasts for about an hour. I just try to keep motivated until the pep is back in my step. No funny stories as of late unfortunately, minus the ever intelligent librarian. She's the kind of lady who tries to sound more intelligent/educated that she really is. Case in point:

Her (referring to a mess she made in the library with some food...wtf, she put up the signs that say no food or drink): MY-UH-KOOPLA

I just looked at her and went "what?"

She proceeded to repeat the phrase, twice, as the vacant expression on my face probably suggested I didn't hear her right. The look on her face when I corrected her was much more amusing, of that I'm certain.

I continue to plug away at World of Warcraft. I can see now where people focus on "gear" and the like. Siori has been 80 now for a little while. In order to do some of the bigger in game stuff she's needed (and still needs) to get better. Only way to do that, is with gear. At the same time, I wish I could understand why people need to have the "uber" gear at anything pre-70. Unless you're going into the battlegrounds to fight other players (which means not going up in level), having to have the best gear every level is a waste of time, energy, and money.

Speaking of time and energy, Carla has a remote tomorrow from 10-2. Otherwise we've got a somewhat quiet weekend. We decided (and we refers to myself and a couple of friends) it would be a great chance for Carla to try running the show for Dungeons & Dragons. She's never been DM, and I personally think she'd do quite well. I'll admit, though, I'm coming up with a backup plan as I think it may have slipped her mind.

friends, d & d, carla, work, wow, dumb
