Been a good few days, but since I didn't have anything to really post, I simply didn't. That's turned this one into hitting on a few subjects.
Snow. We're supposed to get 10-20 cm today and a few more tonight. That's on top of the few we got yesterday. Granted, it hasn't fallen a great deal since I came home just before one, but I think it's just going to be continuous. That's fine, the snowblower is ready for it, and any more than should fall this year.
It has been quite a year for snow. I know Toronto is closing in on their all-time record (set some 70+ years ago). Around these parts, I think it would still need to snow a fair bit to set any records.
Speaking of records, I don't know how many Brett Favre ended up setting with the Green Bay Packers but there's a good chance a few of them are going to stand up for a while. Having just watched his retirement speech (courtesy of YouTube), the man was simply a professional. A class act to the very end and the NFL is worse off without him on the field. However, time being what it is, retirement is eventual for every player. But for all that he did, and all that he entertained, he's a Hall Of Famer beyond words.
I was hoping to get into the Hall Of Fame last night. It was another D&D session, and sadly my cat monk died. I thought for sure that for all he was and all he did, he'd make it. Unfortunately, there's some "5th level" rule that anything under doesn't qualify. Well, if I hadn't sacrificed XP to bring a character back from the dead I would have been 5th level. Sadly, that doesn't count either. If the snow holds off a little bit, we have another (different) session in a few hours. I'd really rather not die again, but I won't rule it out. `Course, this character (and three others in the party) only came to exist last Sunday, so I guess I'm just pulling for him to last a full week.
Have a snowball fight today. It'll remind you how fun it is to be young.
d & d,
