So, tonight was our end of the year shindig at the school. The kids got out an hour early, and the staff headed to a nearby tavern (Barley Works for those curious) for some festivities. We had a couple of pops and the staff gave me a Corona gift set...not my first choice, but it's still VERY much appreciated. After some food, we headed over to the French teacher's home for some fondue and more festivities.
The principal and grade 8 teacher decided to move a backyard table over to extend the picnic table. Each grabbed a side and carried it over. However, upon attempting to set it down, the pair realized they had merely grabbed the top of the table and the stand was still idle on the lawn. I quickly rectified that.
Same principal, only a few hours and a few Guinness later. He gets up to leave and approaches the sliding patio door. Standing on the right side he looks at the glass for a minute and can't find the handle. Asking if the door does in fact slide open, we point out to try the left side of the entrance where the screen door should slide quite easily.
Nothing like work entertainment to lighten the spirits.
