today started out really well. i woke up feeling well-rested and energized. I went to work and plowed through a stack of insurance forms and got to go home early. i had a nice conversation with my mom in the car (she has to cart my ass around while my car is at the mechanic this week) had good times talking with my homies on the internet.

Then came band practice. Now, I love my band and I love being in a band. Apparently i'm the only one anymore. It seems like this weekend will be our last two shows, unless something really incredible happens. So y'all better show up. However, we did have fun during practice and we went out to taco bell and had many laughs together. so i guess we all still love the band, but it is getting old, and our audience isn't who we want to relate to anymore. a good case in point is below:

At our last show, I met a girl named Chelsea. We talked for a bit, did some light flirting, whatever. Tonight, she IMs me and we get to talking. She's very nice and all and talking about how she likes our band and stuff. I was excited, as four years of being in a band has finally resulted in my getting some attention from the ladies. We got to talking about schools, and I mentioned that i was going to be a sophomore next year, and she says she is too. I ask her where she goes to school, and the answer is Hamden High School.

Score one for old-looking fifteen year olds. I think it's god's way of getting back at me for not believing in him. But again, i'm not worried. Assuming there is no god, the law of averages has to catch up to me sometime. I just wish it wasn't so lonely.

All in all though, it was a good day. Ooh! also, I got my darth vader helmet in the mail today. it's hella sweet.

~jon good loves you
