it's nearly ten o'clock, and i'm sitting here in the study of the family of Willa Brown in Washington. I am the only one awake. Again (i think it's been the sun that's waking me up, and I just can't get back to sleep). I have to leave soon, which makes me sad. Even though I'd seen everybody who came down here a month ago (which isn't a very long time for cty kids), i felt like i had more "quality time" with all involved. It was smaller, and thus we got to do more. On the bus down, Chris, Mer and I got a coloring thingy and some markers (the picture was of a bird), and made it look all cracked out. We then wrote a story on the back about a car named Rodriguez, and somehow worked in Michael Dukakis.
Washington is such a great city, with all the monuments and museums and such, especially when in the company of nerds, because we all know a good portion of the historical background, and if we don't, most actually want to learn about it.
Quotes of the evenings:
"who was voted the sexiest man of 2003?... Hitlerrrrrrr!!!!"
"Franklin Roosevelt tastes surprisingly like Thomas Jefferson"
sheez, i don't know when i'm gonna see any of these people again. hopefully before the end of summer. but then, that's why there's the internet. Oh, hopefully I will get to se Mer, as I need to fix my uncle's computer this week (or so) and I told her I'd stop by because she's close to there.
I'm miffed because there's not a new Ozy and Millie cartoon up this morning yet. you should all check it out, it's cute and funny and highly intelligent at the same time. www.ozyandmillie.org
