Kick Ass weekend
Sup all. THis weekend was awesome. I can't say I did much of anything except surf. That's why it was so good. I went out on Saturday and caught some relatively good surf for the area. I was averaging chest highs, but some were above the head. Today I was out all day long, and I caught some really good ones. Today was higher than yesterday. The temp was great. I was actually in shorts at noon, but later I had to put my shorty back on. The water was chilly all day, but the sun at noon was enough to keep me warm enough to not wear a suit. I actually went with an old friend from UCF today, also named Josh. He was in town because his new girlfriend lives hear and he called me up seeing if I wanted to hang out. I told him sure, and he and his girl came out to surf. Cool stuff, first time I've surfed with a friend since last summer. I still prefer loner surfing though, just cuz it's one of my places where I can clear my head, but with a friend is excellent every once in a while.
On a more somber note, Kermit's brother died friday. It's a sad thing, death. It's hard, because no matter how much I see it, it's always tough to know what to say to the person who has lost someone. Charlie and I have talked about the honor's department taking up some kind of collection in his name, so keep in touch, because we're maybe going to donate to some cause that he felt strong for.
