MLMs
DISCLAIMER:
Am not gonna specifically mention what this MLM that I am talking about, is. Don't wanna get myself into trouble one day when "MLM" reads my entry and decide to sue me for defamation. It could be a person, an organization, a particular company, an object, an animal, just any piece of shit on the street, or it can even not be anything at all. Its up to the reader to decide what he/she wants MLM to be, AND IT WILL HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH ME!
MLM IS A SCAM!!
Its all sweet talks and tr*ckery. I've been a victim of MLM. They've chea*ed a relatively huge sum of mo*ey (at that point of time) from me.
First MLM sca*s you into making you think how easy it is to make mo*ey from MLM's bus***ss. Then, MLM sca*s you into bu*ing their ridiculously over*riced pro*ucts. You are most likely to have insufficient mo*ey, so MLM will make you borrow from your very close friends or relatives. Here's how MLM got me into doing it.
How the MLM works is MLM make you se** their over*riced pro*ucts and you will be earning a huge commi**ion from the sa*e. There's more to it but there is too much for me to explain.
The MLM that I delt with deals with healthcare pro*ucts. MLM claim that the healthcare pro*uct promotes blood circulation. MLM constantly remind me how good their pro*uct is. MLM makes you b*y one for yourself to "try" and also to support the pro*uct that you will be se**ing through them.
1) MLM make you decide who you would want to borrow the mo*ey from (I called a very close friend)
2) MLM ma*es you tell a "lie" to your friend/relative. MLM "advise" you to tell your friend/relative that you need mo*ey urgently (MLM: Its urgent because you need the mo*ey fast in order to get the healthcare pro*uct asap).
3) MLM ma*es you "lie" again, by saying that you need the mo*ey for some health related problem that your direct family member is currently experiencing (MLM: If you don't get the healthcare pro*uct for your family member now, it "MIGHT" become a health hazard to your family member. Every second not using MLM's "miracle pro*uct" counts. You never know when they might "go" and the miracle pro*uct of MLM "MIGHT" make the difference).
4) MLM ma*es you ask how much mo*ey can your friend/relative lend (as much as possible). (The friend I called is able to lend me enough to buy the healthcare pro*uct)
5)MLM make you promise your friend that you'll p*y your friend back in install*ents asap, possibly within 2 months. (MLM: You will start ear*ing high commi**ions when you start se**ing MLM's pro*ucts)
6) MLM m*ke you tell your friend not to tell anyone about this. (MLM: Necessary as MLM don't wish your other friends to worry about you. Actually MLM just don't want your other friends to know that you are borrowing mo*ey and starts shunning away from you. You'll need to pro*ote MLM's pro*uct to them)
7) Now you're in DEBT
Throughout the process, I felt very reluctant and forced. A lot of pressure was put on me. MLM seem to have a systematic way to ma*e people do according to what MLM says. Reason being its "Tried and tested" on a thousand others I guess? I don't know why I comply to MLM at that point of time.
MLM promises that you will be able to ear* back the mo*ey within 2 months. MLM promise that their pro*uct is in demand and MLM have a database of a pool of target cus*omer to se** MLM's pro*uct from.
After bu*ing the pro*uct to "try" for myself, I was given training to how to go about se**ing the pro*uct.
Then I was told to write down a list of family members, including my uncles and aunts etc. Why? Because that's the target cus*omer that MLM promised. In other words I will have to se** the pro*ucts to my relatives. WHAT THE FUCK right?!?!
I refused to do it. This has gotten too far I told myself. I refuse to se** a pro*uct that I have no confidence in to my relatives. I told MLM to give me 6 months to try out the pro*uct and if it really works, then I'll start se**ing.
Thats not the end to the story. MLM insisted and tried their best to convince me to start se**ing. MLM sent several others to come try to talk me into doing it, (at least 20 I think) but I was persistent. I stuck to my decision. I already had suspicion to the way MLM works.
I promised to contact and get back to MLM once I find out how good MLM's pro*uct is. But I NEVER got back.

I have never shared this to anyone else other than my bestest friends, Jia Jun and Jearlene.
Jearlene is my blood.
JiaJun was the stupid friend who len* me the mo*ey. I'm awefully thankful to him. He agreed to len* me the mo*ey without any questions asked. All he asked was am I okay, do I need help and where and when I need they mo*ey.
This experience made me realise how lucky I am to have FONG JIA JUN as my friend. Till today, even when we're no longer seeing each other everyday (he was my poly classmate, buddy, gay partner), we still occassionally meet up for dinner.
A lesson learned and a good friend realised at an extremely high price. But its worth it. =)
