"bright lights" came on and i immediately thought of kathleen. i can remember all the new year's eves that have come and gone-- the good ones, the bad ones, the worse ones-- i remember that time i got razor burn so bad on my neck...
i was wearing my new sweater...
i have ruined so many things in my life...
and i'm sure i'll ruin a lot more before it's all over.
so here's to the new year-- here's to forgetting, for a night, all the misery i have caused.
and here's to waking up tomorrow so i can start the process anew.
