Random Things
I went to the Wave last night. :) Was fun.
The first couple of hours I mostly just watched people dancing; I was faintly surprised to see that there's really only a small handful of dancing styles amongst that crowd. I danced for a little while, but just wasn't really feeling the music so much.
Afterwards I wandered outside and hung out with some friends out there. They're an interesting group of people! The Wave crowd sure are an eclectic bunch. By the end of the night I wound up with a number. And a bite mark. I'm amused by both. ^.^
I'm having weird dreams again. They're not nightmares, at least, but odd. Last night's was a lot of really, really random things mixed together.
I remember that there was a Cam game, and newguynick23 was making a character that would have lots of connections with mine and meari 's characters. Also, there was a small child around that belonged to marjai running around (not Sadie).
Then it morphed into a wedding where the groom ran off with the female housekeeper just before the ceremony. There was more random images, but I can't think of them.
Oh, here's something that I just remembered from my dream from Monday night: the origin of ticks.
Two little girls were once walking through the wood when they met two little bugs.
"What are you?" The girls asked.
"We are called Ticks," was the reply.
"Oh, nice to meet you!"
The girls and the Ticks wandered through the woods, talking, when one girl noticed that a Tick had bitten her.
'What are you doing?" She cried.
"I am feeding so that I will grow strong and be able to care for my young," was the reply from the Tick.
"Oh, well, alright, just ask next time, ok?"
When the little girls brought their new friends to the village where thy lived, the adults were not so welcoming. They yelled and found the ticks disgusting and tried to kill them.
And that is why humans today yell when they find a Tick and immediately kill it.
Seriously guys... that's the story that appeared in my dream. Craziness, huh?
In other news, I hope to get my car back tomorrow! Yayness!**
In the meantime, I'm browsing the interwebz to try and find a good USB microphone headset so I can actually use Ventrillo and Teamspeak again. I need a USB one because somehow my headphone jack stopped working... not sure how that happened. So far the various headsets I've seen have been ripped because the sound cut out after only a few months. Le sigh.
** New Edit: So, yeah, I called about my car. Apparently, Allstate is being slow and not responding to the repair shop, so the additional repairs needed haven't been approved. I was supposed to be able to get my car by tomorrow, but now with the delays it looks like I won't be getting it until the 17th or 18th. I give up though... I'm getting a rental car. Eff this, I need transportation- I have job training next week! Grrr. It's so frustrating.
