Tempting fate?
Four years ago I put a title to this journal, Heavy Things, as seemed appropriate at the time, asking that if things got better for people to remind me to change it. In the meantime everyone moved to Facebook.
Just coming here to change the title to "Things" because they have indeed gotten better. A while ago actually, but I also have moved. Just finally got around to wanting this little bit of negativity undone. The title that is, not the record of stuff that happened.
And I realize I'm possibly jinxing myself, if such things exist, but there you are.
Update of a specific item: Debtor has finally gone bankrupt but that's a truly good thing for me as given I wasn't going to ever see that money at least I now have a legal document proving it and can now deduct it from taxes, without the additional expense of suing him.
Oh, and trying to have a birthday party again, first since the one mentioned here 4 years ago that went so well. Was having scheduling conflicts and since it's not a significant number (ending in 0 or 5) and wasn't planning to have it on the actual birthday anyway, am putting it off till March or April.
But guess what IS scheduled for my birthday? Yep. Blizzard. A noreaster no less. But all that's planned is tickets to a show, and not expensive tickets either. Hah, take THAT, birthday curse.
Yeah, things are better. Just wanted to leave LJ on an upnote. Though I might post in the occasional communities I follow here, as long as they last, or as long as I bother to check them, after this it's pretty damn likely nothing will be added to this journal.
