Today I got a chance to catch up on some AI, and God, they really need to not do the "country" theme. The only one I really liked was Amy, and I totally agreed with Simon that the "classy" dress made Fantasia look like an asshole. I'm also extraordinarily pissed that Jennifer Hudson straightened her hair - her little afro puff went wonderfully with her personality, and now she just looks like a lot of other people. I'm actually moderately upset that Matt was voted off - who the fuck is voting for that Camile girl?!?!?!?
In other news, today in the car I heard the last 2 seconds of about a hundred songs. There are too many radio stations to flip through these days - I think when Clear Channel started to own everything, every radio station began to be the same. Finally, I heard "Toxic" in its entirety - I'm quite excited about the Showtime special tomorrow night, and people who slam Britney for lip syncing everything irritate me. Britney is doing them a favor by not singing live. If she sang live she couldn't do the things she actually can do, which are look hot and dance. Some people (ilovemrdarcy) simply don't understand Britney's fan base - It's not a matter of believing she's talented. Britney is hot and, if you agree that Britney is hot, her music becomes good. I'm not sure why, it just does, and the only Brit fans I'd imagine this isn't true for are turn2you and my dad (who actually thinks her new CD sucks).
Come to think of it, I really think Brit is at her hottest when she's either dressed in "masculine" clothes or when she's in S&M-ish gear. When she looks all girly I think she sucks. I really like in "Me Against the Music" when her hair is all messy and she's in a suit-type thing. That might be my favorite. Also, I was thinking I'd pay to watch porn where Britney fucked Clay with a strap-on. Or if she was whipping him. Hmm....
Tonight I may go to a party with itsjen33 and Anthony, thrown by a guy named Joe who has always been "the cute guy who works at the SAC." Perhaps it will be amusing.
