i'll become more yankee when i move up there! but i refuse to say "pop"
or "soda pop." i'll try my hardest not to say coke, though.

why does america have to suck and vote off the most interesting contestant on AI?????

I think "pop" is a Southern thing. I say Coke, even though I clearly realize why horrific that is. Actually, I really don't say either, because I don't ever drink "soda."

I would articulate it differently than that. People didn't "vote off" Nadia, per say. However, more Americans voted for motherfucking Scott Savol. I think putting it like that makes it seem even more horrific. I didn't jump on the Canada bandwagon when GWB was elected, but I just now may.

that's a good point, and certianly empirically factual, but if i can delude myself into thinking america voted off nadia, then i feel less guilty for not voting!

congrats on nyu by the way! catherine stimpson was just at emory, and she seemed pretty cool.
