Okay. So, I think I've found mine. She always sparks a creativity in me, so much so, that I find it difficult to keep it in. And so I write. I wrote something because of her that is VERY unlike anything I've ever written before. I was talking with her and when we disconnected, I couldn't just sit there, I had to write it down. I only did a single pass, no rewrites.
And then I sent it to her.
Shit.
Technically, it's not about her. It is fictional. But it's certainly because of her that I wrote it.
She hasn't read it yet. In fact, I let her know my hesitation in sending it to her so now she's hesitant to read it. I do want her opinion on it, but I also want to know how it makes her feel. To me it's a very emotional and personal thing, but I couldn't stop myself from sharing it with her. The flip side to that is this: She is not mine to be had. And I don't want to be any part of her ending a relationship with anyone else. No, I'm not that conceited. It's just that I will never be the other guy. And the content of this piece can be considered pushing that line between friendship and something more. So, I told her my concerns with that and she told me that I had nothing to worry about. Good, great. I sent it.
Shit.
She's going to read it.
Shit.
I hope it's better than I think it is.
