Decided to try going to a meetup.com e-o meetup on the upper west side for the hell of it, after not really speaking it with other humans for like ten years. Turns out it still stuck in my brain pretty decently through all that time; successfully managed iom da konversacio. Wasn't too unbearably awkward.

Before that looked at a little exhibit K found out about that had some books printed by Aldus Manutius in the early 1500s --- behind glass of course. I was shocked just how good condition they were in, and by the rather high quality of the printing in the first place.

Also, it's sort of hilarious to realize that, like --- you know the concept of italics? Yeah, that was this guy. He was the first to actually do that. Over here is the FIRST BOOK THAT EVER USED ITALICS IN ALL OF THE HISTORY OF PRINTING.
