Just call me "Master Jennie". . . .
Well, I am officially Master Jennie now. RPI graduation was this morning, so I got my diploma and it's all official.
It was actually a really good day; some family friends came, and we all went out to lunch afterwards, and it was very lovely. . .
Except for the freakin' SNOW!! It is mid-may, and it was snowing snowing snowing all morning. RPI eventually had the sense to decide to move the graduation inside and shift it up an hour, but that meant that it was in fieldhouse, and thus seating was more limited (luckily everyone coming for me came early.) The thing that sucked the most is that for some reason, they still had all us graduates line up outside, so we were standing around in the snow for like 40 minutes! It was so bloody cold. I felt like my feet were little blocks of ice by the end of it. And I had trouble getting my poncho to stay up over my mortarboard, so it was somewhat snow-covered at points.
Oh well. It was memorable, at least.
And it ended up working out OK.
Overall, it was a Very Good day. And now I really feel complete and official--like I truly don't ever have to go to school again.
