saturday i did go to the festival of festivals with laura and yael. it was CRAZY so many people were there and it was such a cute neighborhood and there was kabab. it is very true, arabs make the best food. yael and i got our faces painted. look in my pictures at december. people actually stopped me while i was walking to take my picture. and then they stopped yael and i to take our pictures and one lady even gave us tictacs because she didnt have anything else to give us and she thought our faces were beautiful. then we went out to coffee with charley and her friend who is like a grown up version of laura. it was very nice.
sunday was a leobaeck day. there was supposed to be a soldier that was going to come and talk to us but he never showed up. but there was a garage sale there and it was like a big party in the high school. very very very junky things but it was still fun.
monday i woke up with a really bad cold which sucked and still sucks so i didnt go to class monday at all and only went to ulpan on tuesday. i finally finished my midterm for contemporary israel though. its a huge relief. now i just have the final to do but thats not due till january 15. oh and for some reason on tuesday charley made me lead services which was fine but its funny how she picks me to lead them a lot when no one else is doing it.
wednesday jenn and i went out to lunch and got barekas. spinich and cheese. mmmm. then we had talmudology, t'fillah and asefat kehillah.
today i was supposed to see jack but things fell through again.
tomorrow we are going to J-Town for a relaxing weekend. and thats about all thats going on. well aside from dramatic issues that have come up but whatever, im not going to deal with them anymore. im just going to ignore them.although right now they are just really stressing me out.
15 days till im home.
