Did anyone miss me? Unfortunately I will be stuck sitting on my butt for the next week or so. I was at a Combat Hapkido seminar in Poughkeepsie NY on Saturday. The entire seminar I was fine... no bruises, aches, etc. At the end of the seminar we all sit down on the floor to wait for Grandmaster to hand out certificates of training and the ending announcements. I was sitting Indian style as I normally do but when I went to get up... POP!! There goes my knee! The pain was excruitiating! The only good thing about it was I had to be carried out by two guys! He he he. Being from NH, we had no idea how to get to the nearest hospital or clinic. One of the guys had told us it was... down the road! Yeah right! The New Yorkers idea of down the road is a few miles away! Good grief. We made it there anyhow. They didn't specialize in my type of injury so I begged them for anything to relieve the pain for the 4 hour trip home. I ended up with this large blue wrap the had a plastic rod in the back to stablize my leg. It ran from my ankle up to the top of my thigh! It made my injury look much worse than what it was. So I ended up in the middle of the back seat between my sister and Nate with my big honkin'blue wrapped leg on the console the whole way home. Poor Dave and Jack had to smell my sweaty feet the entire way. (sorry) I also became the backseat table. My stomach was used to prop the DVD player. At least I was of some use. :o) Oh well. So if anyone (Tanya) wants to write to me.. I'll be around all week long. Take care everyone.
