Definatly a journaling day!!!

Ok first off...thank you for those of you who prayed for my family. My mother is a woman alone in a crowd of people. The only Christian in athe family other than me. I live 30 minutes away while my sisters both live within a mile and she lives with my father. My family uses religion as a weapon against her. They bait her and taunt her and then when she lashes out they stand back and ridecule her faith. It is so hard for her. She wants out of a marriage that while it has had its good moments has been a vessel for emotional, mental and spiritual abuse. While she knows that divorce is wrong, she has decided to give my father the chance to come to counciling with her, and told him he has till Christmas to decide what he wants. if he wont got to councilign she his moving out. I just pray God is brought into both sides of the marriage.

whew....that was a big emotional part of my day but the great part is just almost indescribable.

ok we had this thing to play at ...
http://www.murrayhilltheatre.com/home.htm
it was Murray Hill Theatre's 10th anniversary. They have this big 'Localpalooza' thing, they invite bigger local bands to play on their main stage and other local bands can sign up to play in their cafe. We figured, what the hay...so we asked to book a slot on the cafe stage. we got a 30 minute slot and rehearsed and prayed...and worried a bit wheni caught a cold...but prayed on that...got a small flyer together and now...today...we ahd set up to go and wow....ok we showed up

We realized when we got there that the main stage bands were all mostly heavy punk and metal and 'screach metal' and emo...
kinda felt out of place...but ok...we knew we were there to praise God and would do it!
so we got up and started on the (extremely tiny- lik 3 foot x 3 foot ) cafe stage. Halfway through our set we realized that the owner of the club was there...(well i did at least) and so was one of his assistants. So, we finished our set and were so excited...walked around had a bottle water and sat around to listen to the djembe player on after us. That is when the owner approached us and let us know they were ahead of schedule on the main stage and the next band was running late. He said he really liked our sound could we play a few songs so he wouldnt have to preach.

WHAT!!!!!!!!!
US!! MAIN STAGE!! LIKE AT THE WHAT!!

of course we jumped all over it. He lead us back to the 'green room' and we all were just stunned...then we realized mike had run to the bank! we gathered round and as soon as we started to pray mike came in and was sweating since one of our group had gone outside and when they saw him pull up told him to run fast to the stage. He got us and then introduced us as this 'fantastic group' he had heard playing in the cafe. We went up and he said things have sped up and we only have time for one song. So we did one...then he said go ahead and do another...so we played one of our originals. We then left the stage to applause and were dazed.

After it all the lady who booked us, said she wants us to come play on the cafe stage as much as we want! Then she said she is going to work hard to book a group that we can open for. She said our sound isnt as 'harsh' as some of the groups coming up in the near future but that she wants us on the main stage so she will push to get us there!!!

You guys!!! This is the biggest Christian venue in Jacksonville!!! THis is huge! If we can get in on the main stage there....well i just dont even know how to express how amazing and opportunity this is!!!

I came home after this and some late lunch early dinner and fell asleep before 8pm from all the heat and excitement....
did i tell you about the heat? it was insane! and then when you get on stage with the lights!!! i mean i drank over 150 oz of water and never had to pee!!!! i sweat so bad i had sheets of it coming down my back and legs.....
come to think of it, i still havent peed and i have drank another 3 bottles of water since we came home....should deal with that soon....
anyways...i am over the moon excited. I dont think there are words to express how exciting all of it was and how amazing God is!!!
