The first personal computer I ever saw was an Apple II hooked up to a 25" TV in my honors statistics class back when said Apple was brand new AND very expensive.
The first one I ever owned was the somewhat used Apple IIc I purchased from my parents some years later. It had two (!) floppy drives, a mouse, a green screen monitor and a four color printer. It also had a word processor, a spreadsheet program, and could play "Leisure Suit Larry". twas a thing of beauty, it was.
My best friend in college purchased one of the first Macs, and we spent way too much time trying to figure our way around the original "Hitchhiker's Guide..." game.
I currently have a 24" iMac, an iPad (first gen), and more iPods than I should admit in public. They all work wonderfully and simply and do things that I would never try on a PC in a thousand years. Like video editing. And Photoshop. And CD burning/ripping. And watching anime while traveling...
Thank you, Mr. Jobs. Rest in Peace.
