Back in Minneapolis. Two weeks of Art Fest Prep. Its busy around here but im still finding time for rest, so thats good!
Rainbow was pretty incredible. Colorado was so beautiful. We spent two days hanging with our Tracy from the enter the worship circle crew at her house. She had an enormous dog and we climbed a mountain. good times! haha we also went to this crappy casino tourist town called cripple creek. I played $1 worth of penny slots and won $5 at a casino called The Brass Ass. Amazing! first time ever gambling...probably my last. Rainbow was such a bizzare and incredible and sad and exciting experience. I know that may not seem to make sense, but if you've been there you may know what I mean by all that. So many cool people and cool conversations and delicious free chai til the early hours of the morning and stuff. Truly amazing. I got to spend my birthday "paddling" and re-comissioning the Shitter. Jesus kitchen had the best shitter in rainbow. Does that strike anyone else as a weird thing to say...haha
After that I went to Cstone. At rainbow everyone says welcome home when you get there. I felt more at home when i got to cstone. I got to see tons of friends and "family" that I miss so dearly. It was cool seeing bunches of michigan people, lost of which I had no idea would be there. It was good to see pieces of my E's house family! It was culture shock going from kind peace loving, earth friendly hippies to seeing posters and flyers and food packaging just everywhere. The garbage factor at cstone was a little disturbing to me for the first time ever. Im not crazy earth first hippie or anything...I just enjoyed the cleanliness and good stewardship of the earth at PAPA and Rainbow.
Art Fest is next week. a week after that Im going to the Jesus Radicals conference down in Chamapign, IL most likely. Then the day after that im going on a road trip out west to go to some friends' wedding and see california. I'm so stoked on that! After i get back from that im meeting up with Eric and going east most likely to visit the Camden House in NJ and maybe some other stuff. Finally after that Im going back home to Michigan for my cousin's wedding and to rest and see family and friends and stuff...and to look into some stuff in Detroit. I wanna do a bit of exploring (but not in the usual sense of abandoned stuff). Mid september I'll be back in Minneapolis for a little while and hopefully slow down a bit, although I love all this traveling adventure action. Its addictive, but i love returning and sitting in my garden and seeing the same people on a daily basis. I dont want to develope too much of a wander lust. God's totally been fulfilling my desire for adventure this past year though. I never thought i'd be doing half the things Im doing. I may have a change of location next spring, but thats a ways off so I cant make any announcements about all that.
Ok I need to go to bed. As they say in rainbow: "Lovin' You!"
