I read this ages ago, but I've been meaning to ask...why do you think this attitude grates on you, specifically? I mean, what bit of you does it rub the wrong way?

I don't recall if I said this on IM, but it's mostly like watching someone stand on the track with a train approaching. Frustration at stupidity I can do nothing about.
