Our house is in the process of being wrapped in styrofoam! Lol. No, really:
It's not exactly what I expected. I sort of feel like I'm doing something bad for the environment by using that much styrofoam. But, it's going on a house that should last many years and is not likely to end up in a landfill. Its purpose is to reduce use of electricity, so that should balance it out?
They started in the back:
It is in sheets that are one foot tall and four feet wide. They look like giant, skinny Legos.
There are some yellow things they use, also, to attach them to each other, in addition to fitting them together like Legos.
It sits on a metal track just above the brick skirt.
We thought it would Lego together at the corners, but it doesn't.
There are a few gaps - like in the pic above - but they are supposed to be filled in with spray foam and the tiny space between the foam and the window frames are to be spray foamed, as well.
