Wow! It has been a really long time since I updated I've just been incredibly busy. With three projects, a holiday, performance exams, my birthday, and running around like crazy I have had absolutely no time. I have decided that it is important to choose group members wisely when you get the chance or else it will blow up in your face. You may get stuck with 1/3 of the work with five people in the group. Yes, I am speaking from experience. However, great justcie comes when you are allowed to grade one another on participation. Sometimes life is fair. I was very glad to get to the break. We went up to the mountains, saw two shows, and just basically chilled. I was really lame though I did math work on my birthday. Told you I was busy. I know I did horrible on my exams but whatever. Grades are really thar important to me anymore. I still want all A's but I have other priorities. God is number 1 in my life. Boy it took me an amazingly long to compile with that concept. Why do we still feel as if we can control our lives by ourselves when God is so powerful and offers us His ruling? I don't know the answer to that one but after this summer I finally started to come to terms with the reality of my abilities. We all need God in our lives and that means more than just going to church on Sunday and claiming to believe in Him. It means spending as much time with Him as possible and living your life faithfully through Him. This year has been really great for me spiritually. I love wilderness crossing on Tuesdays. The atmosphere is so wonderful. Everyone is so incredibly welcoming and warm. The lessons are awesome as well. Last week Mike and Brett gave a really cool lesson on the Armor of God. I finally got my friends to come with me and they loved it. *Happy*. I begged and pleaded with them and they refused but then they all of a sudden decided they would try it. I guess this proves that you can influence people better indirectly than by pushing them to do something. I think Tay and Kev figured out that I wasn't just going through a religious phase. I'm changing my lifestyle. This week's lesson is on Salvation taught by Collin and Kevin Smith. If anyone interested in coming or would like more information I would be glad to talk with you. Just let me know.
This weekend has been great after a long week of hard work at school and everyone being snappy with me for no reason. On Friday I walked home backward! Yes I know this is weird but I have a logical explanation for this. I realized that I am much more motivated when I can see what I already accomplished than what I still have left to do so by walking backward I can see the ground I have already covered instead of how far I still have to go. In case, I haven't told you they moved my bus stop two streets over away from my house so it is quite a distance compared. When I got home my grandparents were there and we baked some holiday sweets. They also brought me my present for my birthday. A pink velor track suit and a white sweater with rabbit fur. I am gonna wear the track suit on Monday. Saturday I had an interesting day. My stomach was hurting so that was not fun. I woke up kinda late like 10 or something. Then I took a shower and blacked out. That is no fun let me tell you, it gives you a headache and makes you very dizzy. It was okay though because it gave me an excuse to relax and watch my new DVD of Jesus Christ Superstar. I love that movie I highly recommend it to everyone. Then I played DDR with my sis and talked to Tay. At 6:45 I met Kev, Tay, and Nickie at Waffle House. We had a blast. " I love the stupid_____." Hehehe that was priceless. That will teach him not to talk with his mouth full of delicious cake. Afterward we went over to Tay's and watched some of Christmas Vacation. Funny movie but I've seen it way too many times to care. Today has been a lazy day. I overslept so I missed church which I feel horrible about. Then I cleaned the kitchen and painted my model of a pool table. In a few minutes I need to leave for Qara so I will have to cut this short. But real quick here is a quote I believe would be beneficial for mankind to take heed to.
Why do you see the speck in your neighbor's eye, but do not notice the log in your own eye? ...first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your neighbor's eye.
Mt 7:3; Lk 6:41; Th 26
