I've had this LJ for 9 years now. It's a trip to go back and look at old entries.
What a year. Either I'm really easily entertained or life really is meant to be this epic, because 2009 totally blew my mind. The biggest thing is of course, my baby, Floppy Ears. It's so amazing to remember this time last year when Anna and I were still just setting up and agreeing that breaking even for the year would be a worthwhile and perhaps not even attainable goal. I remember staring at my first paycheck and marveling at the $200 or so that I had earned. This has been the biggest, most exciting, and most difficult thing I have done so far in my short life, and I am so thankful for the love and support from friends, family, and fellow animal lovers.
In the upcoming year, I resolve to:
1) Be on time.
2) Do more fun things. I want to start hosting movie or dinner evenings at my place, as well as just going out to places and being social instead of looking at Facebook and giggling at manips.
3) Set boundaries for work, and maintain a healthy personal life. I'm a horrible workaholic, and that has to stop. I need to start leaving time for myself.
