There hasn't been alot going on but I feel like I should occasionally update this thing anyway.
School's almost over, I have one more paper to write for that damn Shakespeare class tomorrow and then probably have someone else proof it so I can turn it in and then I'm done. I'm excited to be done with the first semester. Of course I was alot more excited before I got the grade back for my 3rd paper for Hamlet. I really don't like this prof, the way he grades and the way he has set up this class. ugh!
Life with the boy is great. He really really hurt his knee, the dr gave a final diagnosis as a sprained MCL, a torn ACL and a stress fracture of the knee. Which means we've been fighting on and off for weeks because the doc wants him on crutches to make the stress fracture heal before it spurs up and tears any reconstruction they'll do on the ACL. I have also had to remind him that he is not single anymore and even though he's the one hurt, that doesn't mean it doesn't affect me in the least.
Once all that was straightened out though, life's been good. We did yard work yesterday and then went to pick out a kitchen table. By today, we have a table, 6 chairs and a buffet kind of thing. We assembled the chairs yesterday together but they had issues with the table so Trent went back this morning and got that. He also got all the missing pieces from the buffet so while we assembled half yesterday, he finished the table and other furnature today. All in all it looks great. I'm excited to put things into the buffet and rearranging the kitchen. And actually gardening since we really just cleaned up and did a little spring-time work.
Tonight I took Trent to the Detroit Pistons basketball playoff game. It was a great game for the most part, until about midway through the last quarter and all of a sudden the other team came back and beat us by 4. That was a bummer but the night was good. I'm especially glad that tickets aside, parking and food was only $20 which makes him a relatively cheap date. I'm sort of looking forward to celebrating his birthday next weekend with all the friends involved. Micah's bachelor party is next weekend so all the boys are in town. It should be good times.
I'm thinking of tearing my room apart and organizing all of it. that should be quite the project but I'd rather have things cleaned out and easy to pack and go. I don't know why I have this sudden urge to have everything I might want or need at my fingertips and other things easily cleaned out but I do. I need to be less of a pack rat anyway.
Hope all is well everywhere else,
hugs.
