It's that time of year again
Well thanks to short week (Australia Day was on Tuesday) this week has been pretty enjoyable.
Highlight of the week? Our Anniversary on Wednesday of course!
Unfortunately we were both working: JR was up at horrible o'clock and I was in the office fairly early. Had a lovely note waiting for me when I came downstairs and an even lovelier email waiting in my inbox when I got to work. I ordered a bunch of flowers (sunflowers cos I thought they'd look nice at home) to arrive at home just after he was due back from the airport - result!
We decided to keep it fairly low-key and made a nice dinner at home (largely because of the new diet JR's doing a great job of sticking to...and I'm doing a great job of ruining with cake, burgers and wine when I'm out...) with a bottle of champagne and cuddles on the sofa. The really exciting part?
The presents! LOL
JR got a model Starship Enterprise from the new Star Trek movie to add to his growing "fleet" of ST models, and I took my final step into middle-aged geekdom with my first nerdy superhero bust :D I've actually been coveting huggerdog 's collection so finally thought..why the hell not. A healthy dose of nerdism never did anyone any harm :) Oh! Also the traditional teddy bear (extra cute this year) and a fantastic Simpsons card...I have a feeling I'm supposed to represent Marge...but I daren't ask.
