I'm pretty happy with all three viable Dem candidates. None are perfect, but all share a very similar set of platform points, and they all have strong individual distinctions.

Clinton has solid experience. The GOP smear machine would paint her as an indecisive (lord how I hate to type their smears) "flip-flopper," but I see it more as a centrist willing to build alliance.

Obama is running on pure emotion right now. And it's working. He's a powerful speaker who could capture the national imagination much as Kennedy did.

Added benefit for either of those: a woman or a black man as president would have a profound impact on breaking out of the political rut the country is in, and open up the future to many more skilled candidates who are de facto excluded from serious consideration.

Edwards is a quiet charmer who genuinely seems to grasp domestic and civil rights issues.

I'll take any of them and be happy.

I can't decide if I loathe Ron Paul (as a Federal employee who'd be crushed by the radical government downsizing and abolition of taxes he proposes) or Mike Huckabee (who just chills my secular heart) more.
