I'm torn about this because in my liberal heart-of-hearts I don't trust porky legislators fucking with workers rights, but then again the United States entering ANY kind of international agreement as an equal partner is such a godsend. Dan Miller, if you're reading this: how are extradition rights affected by it? And, what I'm really wondering, does it enable us to go after crooked Caribbean tax shelters more efficaciously? Seems like a Justice Department issue to me more than a Labor one, over all. Hoffa's right; the real answer for worker's rights is unionizing more workers, not further burdening the workplace with ineffective laws that the business community will only resent and, inevitably, find some way to circumvent. Money always wins in congress.
