Dear FAFSA,
You are the bane of my existence. Last year, I filled you out on the last possible day, which is what I find myself doing now. I will continue this trend in years to come, and I want you to know that. I will not waver. I will not get a stupid "PIN," when a simple signature page will work just as well. I will not bend to the "trendy" method of filling you out days, or even WEEKS before the due date. Why? Because it's just not my style.

In other news, I got my new glasses and they're pretty cool! I hated them before, but I'm getting used to them. They're a little thicker than the old ones, thus giving me the "Lisa Loeb" look, which, I am sure, causes Jeffrey great joy. Speaking of Lisa, I guess she has a reality tv show out now chronicling her life as a depressed and lonely spinster. Encouraging.
Dear Lisa Loeb,
You were once an inspiration. You turned your mediocre poetry into subpar pop music, thus transforming your coffee shop persona into a wonder of the 90's Billboard Charts. All this and more while wearing black glasses far before they were cool. I bought the Firecracker cd at age ten and listened to it until I was on the verge of clinical depression. And then... and then your song was featured on Dawson's Creek. That moment lives on in my memory as one of the most beautiful collaborations in all of history. Your acoustic guitar humming along with the dark and brooding, yet intelligent and pretty Joey Potter as she pined for her Dawson and he pined for his Speilberg. Poetic? You bet it was. My purpose in writing this is to let you know that reality television is not where you belong. You belong on VH1, wearing your beret and singing your ballads about the human condition, but not hating it. No, not hating it. That's why you weren't invited to Lilith Fair. It's okay though, Lisa. Only hairy women went to that anyway. I like your uplifting tunes. Please don't change.
Yours,
J-Dawg
Well I feel better. Okay, I'm off to continue filling out this death form and singing along with "Furious Rose."
Cheers
