I wish I had kept an eye on the other Romeo auctions that ended this morning. I only noticed this one while browsing. As someone who collects Romeo cels, I'm more than a little confused. I would have expected a cel like that to sell for 75-8000 or so at the most. Obviously a bid war drove the price up. Granted Alfredo is the most popular character, but he's still not a super rare character to find a cel of, and I don't know that that is from any particularly memorable scene. I checked a couple of episodes but I can't figure it out.
It sold for more than the gorgeous Iczer 1 hanken drawing that was also sold this morning:

I'm not even a fan of the Iczer series, but that's a pretty genga.
