so. as emo without the e has said in her lj...this is the time for orals. hahaha. not the good kind of orals either - this is the kind where you sit in fron of a tape recorder with three teachers and talk nonsense for 15 minutes. ayyyaah. I've reread shakespeare twice in the past week, so I'm ready for that aspect of it. I had my first ever inclass oral thing on it last thursday. It wasn't THAT bad, but I fucked it up cuz I paused a lot which was gay. but whatever. As for the poetry, I haven't studied much yet but it'll be ok I guess. My exam is on wednesday at 10:30 or so.
My family from the motherland has been over for the past few days. I watched the oc with my cousin on thursday. It was pretty good...slightly retarded at the end. Friday: ate at quizno's for lunch. worked a bit. I watched both of my bootleg movies from new york which I had been too ashamed to watch before (ocean's twelve and 'guess who'). they were all right, actually. irina knocked on my window at 2 a.m. - the sad thing is I wasn't sleeping yet. So I hung out with her, leah and stark for two hours. I got up at 2 the next day which really screwed me over for work. COLDPLAY WAS ON SNL. SO GOOD. they did speed of sound and fix you and it was so amazing :D:D:D:D:D:D I really can't wait till x&y comes out now. I checked my schedule and I have lunch spare so off to y&e we go. What the hell happened to lindsey lohan though? gah! and the rest of the show wasn't that funny either.
Yesterday was chester's last show. I played golf before then with my uncle and dad. Took the subway to osgoode and walked from there to the Kathedral. The band before them covered karma police which was nice. Apparently they also covered Muse but I wasn't there yet so...oh snap. Before they went on, I told Armen he should have a ceremonial burning of his stuffed beaver, chester. he said no. too bad. that would have been punk raawk.
They did basically the same songs as at freddy's party, minus the weird covers thing which sounded really bad. They were SO much better and together this week. I got the feeling at freddy's that they didn't care that much so they sounded kind of sloppy. The best parts of the set were soco and into the cold. and also, armen introducing 'girl' - "this song is called girl. it goes out....to all the girls. but girls kinda suck sometimes." amen, brother. haha.
