Vacation
My drive on wednesday wasnt that bad. I left at 5am and didnt really hit any traffic. I got to my mom's house around 3:45pm. I tried to take a nap but the dogs started barking like crazy and when I looked I guess someone was at the door. So I answered it and the neighbor kids had kicked a soccer ball into the back yard. I had to go get it for them. Then my mom got home and the storm hit. I was supposed to meet Katie at her work so I drove to Manchester to the Residence Inn where I met her and Will. They were supposed to have a cookout for the guests but the storm hit and their building got struck by lightening. Will left because he had to go to work that night, so Katie and her friend Kristen and I walked to TGI Fridays for some drinks. We met Christina and Jen there and Kristen had some guys join us. It was a weird night. We felt like the guys were ignoring us completely so when Chris left Jen and I decided it was time to leave too.
I stayed at my dad's that night and got up the next morning meaning to go to my mom's to lay by the pool. When I stepped outside I decided it was too cold for the pool. So I hung out all morning. Katie left for work and Will didnt have to work til like 10pm so I waited until his drum teacher left (who was kinda cute and has good taste in music by the way). I was supposed to burn some cds from my brother and he wanted me to take some pictures of him at his drumset so I got up to go and I walked into the recliner breaking my toe. It fucking hurt. Stuborn me didnt go get it looked at either. We took pictures and burned some cds and headed for the mall because he needed and bathing suit. So we got him one and went off to Best Buy where Katie met us when she was done with work. Bought some cds... Sparta - Porcelain, Sparta - Wiretap Scars, and Armor for Sleep - Dream to Make Believe
Limped around all night. Went to Outback with Katie and came home for awhile before we had to drive to Umass to drop off my dad's car for Kerry so she would have a way to get back from Drum Major Academy there at Umass. We got there and Kerry called and told us she cant leave her room because it was lights out. So we parked the car in the parking garage and drove to the front of her dorm and forced her to sneak out. She was really scared but all we wanted to do was give her the keys to the car.
Friday we got up and headed off for the Cape. I did alot of driving on my poor toe. We got to our grandparents in Orleans and Katie and I left Will there sleeping as we headed to Nauset Beach. Our grandmother dropped us off and we laid out and Katie went swimming. I put my feet in but was worried about going in with my foot all blue. We came back showered and got ready for dinner. We had lobster. We didnt get to see the whole family. My aunts and uncles didnt show up so we didnt see them or our cousins. That was crap. Just saw two of my mom's cousins and their children. They were soo cute though. My mom's cousin Deborah looked at my toe and told I had better go see a doctor.
Saturday morning my mother finally showed up with Dan. We had breakfast as a big family provided by my grandmother. Then my gramps brought me to the medical center where I payed the man to tell everything I already knew. He taped my toes together and sent me on my way telling me it would take 6 weeks to heal. We then went to Chatham to shop on Main St. It was fun. We got back in time for dinner with everyone and took pictures. Kerry got there in time for pictures and some dinner.
Sunday morning we wanted to go to the beach but it was overcast and kinda cool out. We went anyways and I was attacked by the cute lifeguard about icing my toe. He seemed really concerned about my foot. We took pictures on the beach and again Katie went swimming. We then went back and showered and changed and went to the Surf Shop before heading out. We stopped on our way back in Hyannis near the Cape Cod Mall to eat at Friendly's. I miss Friendly's. I might get a coffee fribble to-go on my way out of here. Got to the Sagamore Bridge and this guy in the car next to us was waving at me and smiling. I thought it was funny. He even blew me a kiss at one point. Got back to East Windsor and started getting ready to leave.
So now it is Monday morning and we leave as soon as Kerry can get to her back with her paycheck. Back to NC...
