I have been having migranes since the summer of 2001. They were really bad that summer and I was taking perscription pain killers that were my mom's at the time. I would get them soo bad that I would just lay in my bed and cry. That was a bad summer and when I got back to Elon that year I still got them some afternoons. My sister and my mom thought they were from the sun or allergies or something.
About 5 years ago I started having chest pains every once in awhile. I thought it was nothing. I mean every so often it would be hard to breathe and I would just lay down and hope it went away.
This november I was diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse. I dont really talk about it but the nurse for the city told me I should go get it checked out to be safe. Mitral Valve Prolapse is a common heart condition mostly found in tall thin women. It is a problem with the Mitral Valve that causes a click or murmer. Sometimes it can cause some regurgitation of blood between the two chambers that the valve is between.
Tonight I have another migrane and well that is a symptom of my heart condition. I can feel it coming on and in an hour or so I wont be able to keep my eyes open in any sort of light at all.
I just thought I would write all that down. I dont know why but I never wrote about it before.
