I'ma be a dork for just a minute...oh, who am I kidding? I always am...
Okay, every four years, when the winter Olympics happen, I find myself obsessed with speed skating. I just love it. It's so exciting! So the doc I work for used to speed skate and was actually pretty good--has friends who competed in Olympics and even now still knows a lot of people because he's very involved--his daughter skates and every time there's an event nearby, he's volunteering....Anyway, so this morning I was chatting with him about skating and he tells me that the WORLD SHORT TRACK SPEED SKATING CHAMPIONSHIPS are coming to Mariucci Arena!! This means that a lot of Olympians are gonna be there (including dreamy Apollo)!! I really, really, really wanna go. It's at the end of March, if anyone else is interested, and Doc says that waiting until the last minute should be no problem because (gasp!) speed skating isn't a big draw in the US (what is wrong with you people??). But I'm going with or without you.
