Last night, I was heading out to White Castle. I turned left onto 16 mile, following what I think was a Chrysler Sebring, not the convertible, but the coupe. They take the right lane, so I get into the left lane, and pass them while accelerating up to 60. As we passed them, I looked over to see if it was a hot chick or anything, but I couldn't tell since it was dark, and Bawks was sitting shotgun which kind of blocked my view. Anyway, we're driving along, then all of a sudden that same car comes blowing by me. I speed up and get next to them, and then pass them again, and then wait to see if they try to catch up. Now we're both doing 70, they get next to me for a few seconds, and then start accelerating. I then punch it, and I lose traction with my rear wheels. The street wasn't icy, just a little wet, and also, I have 200lbs of sand over my rear wheels, and also had an extra passenger. How I lost traction at 70 kind of confused me, but regardless, I flew past them, as my back end slowly slid back and forth across my lane. After that, I resumed my 60 mph speed, and the other car stayed back 6 or 7 car lengths the rest of the way.
I realize it's quite stupid to race on wet roads, not to mention during December where there is always a possibility of ice. It's very rare that I get challenged though, and I just couldn't resist...
