Day 4
Progress... woo hoo, progress.
Optimistic point of the day - I did not have to return to my house at any point for any reason relating to construction purposes.
Pessimist point of the day - my car died again on the way to work.
Progress status.
Durock subfloor is laid over 95% of the floor
new electrical wires are pulled (except in the soffet area... guess i'll need to do a bit of a drawing this weekend for that...)
new drywall placed behind stove wall - doubly good, this makes the wall cleaner, and it removes 2 sheets of drywall that have been sitting in my basement since i started *that* project... 3 years ago?
Hole cut in floor to re-run plumbing.
Plumber lined up to install gas when stove arrives - woo.
my original estimate was that it would be 3 weeks from date of demolition -> date of completion... giving you about 20 of these posts total.. don't you feel special.
So... tomorrow:
Kat returns home, yay.
There are plans to paint the kitchen, base coat only so far, but yay.
Car shopping in annapolis, test driving yay, possible new car payment, boo!
remove excess gick from basement.
place cabinet in it's place.
fill cabinet - emptying stuff off other wall
place cabinet in *that* place
fill cabinet - make basement walkable again
Plans for midsummer are looking good - will shoot them back to loyola with the note to try opening them one at a time so as to not kill thier computing resources...
