My car's been leaking gas for a while. Mostly small amounts here and there. It's gotten a LOT worse and something had to be done about it. We took it to a dealership to see what they thought it was. They wanted to completely replace this part and charge us over 400 dollars. Taking what they said, we then took my car to Herrington's, which is a place my family has been taking cars for many, many years. 55 dollars and 20 minutes later, my car is doing alright. Yeah. That simple. I'm immensely grateful that the part doesn't need to be completely replaced. I'm also immensely grateful that Herrington's works with us like they do. And this is the second time that dealerships have tried to screw with me when it comes to repair jobs. This time wasn't nearly as bad as last time, though. Last time was over 800 dollars for something that we fixed ourselves in the driveway with canned air, electrical contact cleaner, and time. Oh, and calling in because of car trouble wasn't painful this morning. Boss lady was like "Oh. Okay. When can we expect to see you?" Didn't bitch me out or anything.
So, yeah. That's my adventure for today. So far, anyway. >_>
