augh, the heat...it's slowly suffocating me. I need air conditioning. TT;; *shakes fist at California*
Yeah! liking that heatwave aren't ya? Now you know my pain!! And while I'm at it, QUIT WASTING THE WATER GODDAMNIT! (Nevadan's have a big problem with California, in case you haven't noticed).
And to think they're complaining about 103 temperature...shit, it's over 111 degrees over here!! I wish it were 103 degrees! You'd be surprised how a few degrees make a big difference in Las Vegas. For example, one difference is I can wear short sleeves in 100 degree weather, but I cannot tolerate short sleeves in 110 degree weather. Gotta pull out the tank tops. TT; (and cuz of her pneumonia last year, JB's got an ugly scar on her back now so she can't go out wearing tank tops cuz it looks really bad).
But heat and water problems aside, I really do like California. I wanna go live there. TT; Maybe I could make changes...like...DONT' WASTE THE WATER!
Right cuz ya see near Las Vegas, we got Lake Mead (which Hoover Dam made even bigger). And Lake Mead provides water for the states of California, Arizona and Nevada (I think New Mexico too, but I can't be sure). But point is...California is HUGE and wow, do they waste water or what. I know California's got more lawns and parks to water than Las Vegas, but doesn't it just seem a little wrong that Las Vegans who LIVE next door to Lake mead have to be CONSTANTLY reminded in the media and in the mail and by their politicians NOT to waste water. And that if we do waste it, we get FINED.
And yet ya go to California, and see water wasted everywhere. broken plumbing, watering during the day, water fountains all OVER the place. WTF? and here out in the desert we're constantly getting our ass chewed out by the government? Everyone has to have their sprinklers set at a certain time (not during the day) or else you get fined.
I mean geez, Bellagio hotel with its lovely water show has to recycle its own water, otherwise that'd be prohibited. Oh yeah, people were not happy with Bellagio for its water show. But damnit I still like it. Makes for an awesome tourist attraction and is just soo pretty. ToT
If it weren't for California, things probably wouldn't be as hectic here with the water. Did ya know that the water company will actually pay you if you remodel your yard and lawns to a rock desert-scape? Yeah, they will. They'll pay ANYTHING to make sure Las Vegans don't use water. I wonder if they do that in Arizona...
And then ya go out to Cali and just gawk at the waste. Ugh. Really. Grab'em like you have a pair and quit whining about the heat. Seriously. You don't know heat. HELL, even Vegans don't know heat.
I still have no idea how people in Phoenix Arizona put up with that heat. They beat us by a few degrees every year. Amazing. They got my respect man. Waste all the water you guys want, you EARNED it!
