Art Update once again!
Okay! Art update! Finally! Before Dad comes home and ruins my mood again. XD
If you haven't noticed before, JB seems to be on a non-RK kick with regards to her Deviantart gallery. (not her deviantart scrapbook though...) I felt it was time to do fanart for other series as well. ANd of course that came by easily since I discovered some little gems and got terribly inspired to make fanart of them.
But that's not to say I've abandoned the RK fandom. I haven't. I still have some fanarts that need finishing and some pics that are related to my fanfic and our doujin that still needs a title. ~~; Oh how I hate titles...
That being said, on to the pics!
Behold my first Ergo Proxy fanart. Tis titled, So Close, Yet so Far Away... I know. You would think I would at least make it an awesome pic with such a cliche line for a title, but this is the first time JB's drawn these characters. So it was mostly to get them out of my system. I'm not sure I did a good job on Vincent, he is very difficult to draw in his 'rugged' look. I can't seem to get that look right. His polished hairstyle is so much easier. *cracks up* But not his most flattering. XD This was drawn before the two characters reunited again in episode 12. X3
Technique-wise, I discovered how to use 'Levels' in photoshop. Its why Real's skin practically glows here. Very nifty tool this 'level' option. XD I don't think I mentioned that in the description did? I also tried to doing this as close to the series style as possible, but again, JB's style interferes anyhow and ends up looking somewhat...grown up shojo-ish. If that makes any sense...Moving along. I took the background from a photograph and edited it to fit the pic along with changing the colors. It looks bleak and icy enough doesn't it? ^^;
Ah yes, the lineart for that picture is here. Sad that the coloring job ended up changing the style of their faces some...
Next picture in my DA gallery is a Danny Phantom fanart, Bring out the Ghost. Click for full view please! I'm rather happy with this one, mostly because of the color. I've always wanted to color something like this. Bright, rich and mystical. XD I had been meaning to draw Danny Fenton and his alter ego, DP for a while. My other DP fanarts of Sam Manson had done really well, so I wanted to do little fanservice for the girls and make DF and DP as bishonen as possible. But I think DF came out too girly...
I blame it on watching episode 11 of Ergo Proxy at the time. Dr. Daedalus was my key inspiration for Danny Fenton here. XD He's too cute for his own good. Yes, the doctor creeps me out, much more than Soujiro does, but there's no denying he makes a very pretty boy. X3 So I had to incorporate some of that prettiness into Danny Fenton here. XD As for Danny Phanton, a bit of Enishi inspiration helped me with his coloring. XD I wanted to make him cute in a true boyish manner. Oh well, they're two sides of the same coin.
Gosh I'm such a fangirl for guys with alter egos. XD First ronin warriors, then Kenshin, then Danny Phantom, now Vincent. Squeee...what's next?

This is one of those Semi-RK related fanarts. Well it is from my fanfic at least...Snake in Sheep's clothing, (please forgive this onslaught of horrid titles...) is an original character I'm still developing. (click for full view please!) He's one of the villains in my fanfic. A previous rival to Enishi, this perverse young man is leading the triad's business into Japan. Eh heh, again I ask myself if there is any way I can AVOID doing long haired bishies? What is it about long hair that makes me unable to stop drawing it on my characters? I like to think that I'm making Shin and this dude have long black hair to have them contrast with Enishi's short white hair, but I dunno. Maybe I'm too attached to long hair...*weeps*
Perhaps I'll just chop off all his hair and make him bald with a braid like Dot-chan suggested. XD XD That would probably make him creepier...(and more snake-like...hm..) either way, it'll be a while before he shows up in my fanfic so I can think on him more later.
Augh, pop's here, gotta go eat lunch!
Progress on the RW pic: moving at snail's pace with regards to background, but I discovered some neat tricks on Photoshop. Will have to remember to do them on another picture though...
