hee hee, he got elected by all his teachers (three times apparently) to speak at a dinner fundraiser thing on behalf of his school. It's a really important event that happens once a year and brings the school the most money. It has all these important people there (ie. Sheriff Bill Young, several top executives of MGM Mirage and other big corporations in Las Vegas).

It's really funny cuz my brother is not involved in any school clubs, academic teams, sports teams or anything, and yet all these teachers know he's their most well-spoken male student (they had to pick a girl and a boy). XD I'm guessing that's why the school administration kept sending out notices to make teachers pick someone, but after the third time they got Jesse's name again, they were like...okay, Jesse it is! XD

Yeah, it's a huge thing. To get in, each person has to pay $300, a table of ten is $3000. It's just wow. I doubt my brother expected to be chosen for this, which is what makes it so cool. All these important people are going to get to hear him speak and he'll get to meet them and squee, it's just so cool. He is a badass kid. XD I'm so proud of him.

Oh my god, that's wonderful! That's amazing! That's, that's- WOW! That is possibly life changing even, with a lot of possible doors opened, and also... just WOW. And, personally, I love it even more so (which may be bad?) because you guys ARE Hispanic so it shoves a foot in everyone's ass who says "all beaners are lazy-asses."
