Ah, yeah, I'm not nervous about tomorrow. Nope...
More like...GOD DAMNIT, JUST GET HERE ALREADY!! Let me FAIL THIS TEST OR PASS IT. JUST LET ME HAVE AT IT, I DON'T CARE ANYMORE! I JUST WANT IT OVER AND DONE WITH!
*JB's feeling utterly impatient so she will rant about inane things instead*
I need to stop reading up on DC comic universe on the internet. I'm beginning to become obsessed.
*yanking on hair* NO JOVITA! RESIST! Just cuz
Jason's story is pretty interesting, it does not ABSOLVE DC of the heinous crime of butchering Batgirl's character by turning her into a villain and then having everyone forget about her for a whole year!
Yeah, I was feeling nostalgic last week and decided to rediscover DC comic universe last week.
*MAJOR NERVETHROB* I'm so sorry I bothered...
I can't believe they friggin' killed
Superboy and
Kid Flash. For the love of...WHAT THE FUCK IS THEIR PROBLEM?!? WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU KILL OFF TWO OF THE MOST POPULAR TRIO OF TEEN HEROES?!? *weeps* and then have Superboy's best friend and girlfriend become a couple a year after he's dead. ToT Oh
Tim Drake...I'm so disappointed in you. ToT
I AM SOOOOO glad I dropped Teen Titans when they made Cass a villain. What a waste of money that would've been. *groaning into her hands* God, I feel so much shame for DC.
As for my
Batgirl Cassandra Cain...she went on to do a bit more killing and eventually came to fight the Teen Titans, until they all discovered she's been DRUGGED this whole time.
D:
what kind of SHIT WRITING IS THAT?!
Wow, cute, DC. Really cute. Glad you realized you made a mistake by making her evil, but that's STILL PRETTY FRICKIN' LAME!
In the end Cass vows to kill Deathstroke (Slade for you Teen Titans cartoon fan) for drugging her and using her for the whole year to kill people. She helps to defeat SLade and his band of evil teens and disappears soon after. She's been gone from the comics for well over a few months now. The Batgirl fans are getting antsy.
I'm just in utter AWE of how retarded DC has done things with regards to their young heroes. Really, there are no words that can express my rage at DC.
Geez...and they wonder why Japanese mangas sell better than American comics.
Apparently...we can't even blame the writers for all this shitty writing. Well, no actually we can....to some degree.
Turns out the first person to write Batgirl as a villain is a dork named Adam Beechen.
(Oh, Angrybee, he is SO not worthy of having "bee" in his name.) TT;
He actually writes Robin pretty well, according to Robin fans. Problem is...he didn't give a shit about Batgirl and so didn't really research her when he was FORCED to turn her into a villain by the editors.
Yeah...Since 2002, DC got a new executive editor named Dan Didio who's gained notoriety for giving a lot of creative power to the editors rather than to the writers themselves. (Ya know its bad when comic book fans keep track of who the editors are and wear "Dan Didio Must Die!" t-shirts to San Diego Comic Con. ) O_o;
Beechen says he was told to make her a villain, but not told WHY, the figuring out why was his job.
*facepalm* WELL YOU DID A SHITTY JOB BUDDY! I'm barely connecting the dots here! IT MAKES NO SENSE!
Ugh...just...UGH, it's all so shameful and horrible for Cass. IT gives me a headache just to think about how she'll redeem herself. I can't EVEN IMAGINE how on earth she can return to the comics in a way that'll be in character for her. Cuz I know there aren't many writers that actually gave a damn about her. The ones who do and had great ideas are all busy working on something else (like Wonder Woman *weeps*) IT's so sad. T-T
Good grief. I mean, yeah I can see Cass being infuriated when she realizes what's been done to her and shouting "Murder". But I know that when she finally calms down, she'll feel like the worst shit on earth for what's she was made to do. She used to beat herself up ever since she was 8 yrs old for killing a man before understanding what "killing" was.. LORD KNOWS what THIS will do to her. T-T;
The scenario that she was drugged is lame. IT'll be hard for readers to empathize with that. I'm trying to imagine her feelings, and the closest thing to compare it to is that of a rape victim's feelings. The feeling of being abused and used against one's will and then feeling shame for what happened. But that example is a stretch and not very respectful to rape victims. Lord knows, american writers shy against anything like that. ^^; They'll more than likely take the easy route and have her come back with a vengeance and try to kill Slade, therefore ignoring her in-character vow of NO KILLING.
*moans* which is why I know when ehe does return to the comics...she'll be used as a lame and convenient plot device for the benefit of the other characters/writers. Gah...what also irritates me is that none of the other characters (Batman, Oracle, Robin, Nightwing) seem to notice she's missing. Except for a few lines, Oracle (First batgirl, Barbara Gordon)'s the only one who's made mention of her existance in the past year. When some young girl went about dressing up as the first Batgirl (gray and yellow) and started asking about the Second Batgirl (Cass), Oracle snapped at her and told her not to even TALK about it.
...ooookay, now. So Cass is completely TABOO now. No one wants to talk about it. Nice. I'm hoping it's cuz it's a sore spot in "oh, I'm so sad/I miss Cass and I feel bad for what's happened, please don't bring it up cuz it hurts to think about it" kinda way, than in the "Oh, I can't believe that bitch betrayed us and turned evil, I hate her, we should hang her" sorta way.
Jesus! Even the second Robin Jason was talked about more than Cass is. Granted Jason died...but HEY! he RETURNED FROM THE DEAD! and as a VILLAIN! We KNOW for certain that Jason's a sore spot for Nightwing, Batman, and Robin...and HE MAKES SENSE as a villain.
I'd be FRIGGIN PISSED too if I came back to the dead and found my mentor/father figure let my psychotic murderer go free to go on to hurt hundreds more people. And besides, Jason has always been the most violent/vengeful of the whole Bat Family. Cass was never hateful or hurtful like Jason. Hell, despite the abusive dysfunctional relationship between her father and her, she still cared about him. O_o;; SHE'D NEVER KILL HIM, like Beechan made her do. Jason kills and tortures, alright, but its only thugs and villains. He's pretty much an Anti-hero, (like Saitou!). Just cuz it goes against Batman's No killing policy, he's considered a villain. But he makes a wonderful villain. Truly, the writer hit the nail. Jason is Batman's worst nightmare. It works!
Cass as villain...DOES NOT.
Didio sucks for allowing this travesty to happen, and I was going to forgive Beechen for his lameness, until I discovered how TRULY LAME HE IS!
Check out what this idiot said with regards to Cass...ASSHOLE! I KILL YU DED!!
"...It's a big change, a fundamental change, and it represents a big twist in the longtime path of the character, her quest to overcome her upbringing. The way I think about it is, I know lots of people who've struggled against bad decisions or circumstances in their lives for a long time, only to suddenly backslide into their previous behavior. It's a really painful thing to watch, and a terrible feeling, but it does happen, and I think it's what happened in this case."
WHAT? WHAT? WHAT?!? "...Backslide into their previous behavior..." YOU MOTHER FUCKER!! That would make sense if...she had been an ASSASSIN IN THE FIRST PLACE, WHICH SHE NEVER WAS, YA FUCKIN' IDIOT!!!
*holding head between hands* ugh..
Cass was grew up isolated and completely separated from civilization thanks to her father who trained her to be an assasin who could read and comunicate only in "body language". Up until she turned 8, she trained her whole childhood with training posts/dummies ect. It was a "game" her father taught her. Then one day her father deems her ready and gives her her first assignment where she has to kill a man by jumping at him and squeezing/ripping his throat with her bare hands. She does as she's told and upon seeing the man's terror-filled eyes as he DIES, she suddenly realizes "IT'S NOT A GAME" and runs away horrified by what she's done. She never returns to her father and wanders the world beating herself up for the wrong she's done. Then to hide away from her father, she goes into Gotham City (which had suffered from an earthquake and is overrun by crime as a result of the government considering it a NO MAN'S LAND.) and meets up with Oracle and Batman and eventually dons the Batgirl costume in her teens.
DOES THAT SOUND LIKE AN ASSASSIN TO YOU?
She kills one man, not knowing what she's doing and bam! She's set for life as an assassin. Nevermind that for 72 issues of her WHOLE SERIES she fought against her past and upbringing and beat herself up for the one time she killed someone and mind you...NEVER ONCE KILLED ANYONE in the whole series. She just DOES NOT KILL, not because of Batman's influence, but because of her own will. Her one kill traumatized her for life! I think he (or another fucktard writer) also mentioned somewhere in another interview that it does make sense for her to turn into an assasin since both her parents are assassins.
Uh...excuse me? So cuz my dad was a carpenter and my mom was a housewife, I'm gonna want to be one or the other? WHAT A LOAD OF SHIT! I can't believe them! ASSHOLES! Listen to yourselves talk! Just friggin' admit it and fucking say, "I don't give a shit about your fave character and I'm too lazy to look them up, so so I'm gonna write whatever shit comes out of my ass just so I can make MY character look good." THAT I'll believe. O_o
God, what a travesty. Fuck off Beechen, you SUCK! I don't care if you write Robin well, YOU FUCKED UP BATGIRL, SO YOU SUCK!
*sniffles*
waah, this makes me cry. Oh Batgirl...you had so much potential. ANd now they've ruined you. I fear no one cares enough about you or the fans to bring you back to life in a decent manner. waaah! DC sucks! ToT They'll probably kill her by the time "Countdown" crossover is done. >_<;; I just know it. They pulled that shit when Spoiler became Robin IV. That pissed me off too. It's like God forbid a female be a part of the Bat Family. You either get shot and put in a wheelchair for life (Barbara aka Oracle), you get kicked out of Gotham for "not following" the rules (Helena aka Huntress, aka Batgirl II), you get tortured and killed (Stephanie aka Spoiler, aka Robin IV), or you get turned into a psychotic leader of the league of assassins (Cassandra aka Batgirl III).
:|
Tis sad, but DC's obsession with crossovers has really ruined the DC universe. XD; I used to love crossovers, but all the recent stuff like
Infinite Crisis,
One Year Later and
52...just...really ruined DC. What a bummer...So many young heroes killed. Tis gone nuts. All readers are getting tired of it. DC has managed to made crossovers dull and obnoxious. I REFUSE to buy anything from DC. I'm even debating on whether I'll go watch the Batman sequel with Christian Bale...that's how annoyed I am with them.
If they fix and start writing REAL stories and doing the characters justice again, then maybe I'll consider buying from them. But honestly...don't think that'll be happening any time soon. Didio's a moron. THe only thing he's done right is bringing back Jason in such an interesting manner, but lord help him if he allows Jason to be killed again.
*is really wondering why the hell he's gotta make Jason the Red Robin though...*
Red Robin looks weird. O_o; Jason as the Red Hood is a whole lot more badass. (AND UGH! Matching him up with Donna Troy?? Like someone said...she was getting married when he was barely hitting puberty! And on top of that, What did I say about crossovers? Fuck! Make 'em STOP ALREADY! Donna belongs to the Wonder Woman fandom, SAME WITH WONDER GIRL WHO SHOULD STAY FRIENDS WITH ROBIN III AND NOT DATE HIM SO SOON AFTER SUPERBOY DIED. X_x;;) Good grief, what's up with that? Mixing the wonder ladies with the Bat Family...geeze, if Batgirl wasn't allowed to date Superboy, THAN NEITHER SHOULD THE ROBINS DATE THE WONDER LADIES! GAAH!
Damn you DC! DAMN YOUU!!
